Darlene Rich
Town Clerk of Shelby
I am in my 16th year as the Shelby Town Clerk. I have been married 50 years to my husband Mike and have three grown children and one deceased son. I have one son in law and four grandchildren ranging from ages 14-19. I have lived in the Town of Shelby for 50 years. My job duties as the Town Clerk are taking minutes at all board meetings. I also issue dog licenses, marriage licenses hunting licenses. I am a notary public and registrar of vital statistics. I am a marriage officer appointed by my town board. I attended IIMC (International Institute of Municipal Clerks) at Cornell University where I earned my Masters designation in Municipal Clerk. It is an advanced continuing education program that prepares participants to perform complex municipality duties. The program has an extensive and rigorous educational component. I also am a registered Municipal Clerk. These two designations gave me the tools to be the best clerk I could be. My hobbies are going to the NHRA Drag races. It has been my pleasure to serve the residents of the Town of Shelby. I would appreciate their support in the November 7, 2023, General Election so that I could serve the residents for four more years. Thank you.
